Galendor Book Trailer
Back in May of 2015 I decided to take some of the original concept drawings I'd done of Galendor and digitally paint them for a book trailer. My plan was to find a public domain animation of an old book opening, texture Galendor on it and then have the pages flip with my art on them.
Being a night shift worker, my system is all out of whack, so I get about 1 to 2 hours of focus time per day to do stuff. So, four months later, here it is! Other than the CGI book and table

It took five months to conceptualize, draw and then paint the cover for the fist book in the Galendor series. The advantage of being with a boutique publisher is negotiating for creative freedom. The disadvantage was before getting that freedom, I had been assigned an artist to create the cover. We couldn't come to an agreement on design and I ended up paying for three unacceptable designs above the five the publisher paid for before she graciously stepped down.
